Salt Mochi Review

I found this Japanese delicacy on jbox.com i had heard it was a popular snack so i thought it couldn't hurt to try it.

This comes in a nice blue and white wrapper with Japanese writing on the side which must just say salt Mochi. Inside this wrapper there is a bit of corrugated cardboard covering the Mochi which once you open you find a sort of brownish gooey thing wrapped in a very easy to tear plastic which is near impossible to remove it took me 20 minutes to get to the point where I was no longer willing to spend any more time on it. So i ate and probably alot of the plastic wrapping.

I've been told this is traditionally served with green tea which is a popular drink in japan.

This to me tasted horrible I've never tasted something like this before and don't think I'm likely to try it again it was a pretty big disappointment because i'd been told it was nice but clearly someone lied to me. This had a faint taste of licorice but its not even enough to say its worth you buying if you like licorice it just doesn't taste good. So I really don't recommend any one tries this.

I'd give this a 2/10 and that's me being generous.

Nestle Wonka Sour Nerds Review

I have seen these sweets in the past but have never tried them so I thought I'd give them a try.

These are called Wonka Sour Nerds and are made by Nestle the box is a nice green and yellow design. Has wee cute creatures which i think are meant to be representative of the nerds all over the box. Also says the recommended serving size is a table spoon. This is filled with artificial flavorings and they taste like it. It also says its genetically modified ingredients so if you not keen on that don't eat these. A warning on the packet says may have adverse affect on activity and attention in children so although this packet clearly appeals to children you should avoid them eating to much of these.

In this box there is two different flavors one is called Amped Apple and the other is Lightening Lemon both taste nice and like what they are meant to taste like but I would say if your looking for something sour these aren't all that great they taste nice but they are not as sour as you would be lead to believe by a name like Sour Nerds.

I think these are nice and will probably try some of the other flavors in the future but the sourness in this one was disappointing.

I'd give this a 5/10

Tesco Salted Popcorn

Like everyone normal I believe popcorn at the cinema to be far to over priced. Not long ago it used to be the only alternative to buying popcorn in the cinema was to by popcorn in the shops which was greatly cheaper but only really came in a toffee flavor. I was never very keen on the bags of toffee popcorn but I did eat them because it was better than spending vast amounts of money on it. But now Tesco have there own brands of different flavored popcorn recently i tried the salt popcorn this has to be the most like cinema popcorn you can possibly get in a prepared bag in the shops they actually taste really nice despite them not being hot it tastes exactly like you would hope and expect it to

I recommend this because it is a very cheap (£1) alternative to the cinema popcorn at an almost superior quality 10/10

Baby Ruth Chocolate Bar Review

This Chocolate bar hit me as a bit of a surprise I found it on sale in the imports section of my local Tesco so because it was only a pound I thought I'd give it a try.

The wrapper is silver and blue with red writing outlined by white which says Baby Ruth and slightly above this it says Nestle.

The bar contains 4 Grams of protein as it is keen to point out on the front of the wrapper. This chocolate bar is not something you should eat if you are on a diet because the ingredients are quite bad for you 63.9g of carbohydrates and 23.5g of fat which isn't very good but this bar does not claim to be healthy. The ingredients also mention that it is produced from genetically modified soybean and genetically modified maize. This product also contains peanuts so if your allergic to nuts steer clear of this.

This bar tastes very much like a Snickers bar it has nougat, caramel, peanuts and chocolate in it which is pretty much the same ingredients. I would say this is nice but the similarity between the two bars would put me off getting this bar because the other bar is so much cheaper and easier to obtain in the UK. So I would suggest Snickers instead but if you are in a place were these are available and Snickers aren't then you should try this one other that wouldn't say trying this one is very necessary.

I'd give this a 7/10
